POLICE have explained why emergency services were called to a street this morning (Friday).
Residents reported seeing police and ambulance vehicles in the area of Mill Lane, Sutton Leach, this morning, at around 11am.
An air ambulance was also seen, which landed near to Adamstan Nursing Home.
A police spokesman explained that they had received a report of a man having had a "medical episode" on nearby Leach Lane.
The man, in his 50s, was taken to hospital by paramedics.

The Merseyside Police spokesman said: "We can confirm we received a report at around 10.40am today, Friday, December 8, that a man in his 50s had suffered a medical episode on Leach Lane in St Helens.
"Emergency services attended and paramedics took the man to hospital."
A North West Air Ambulance spokeswoman added: "We can confirm that the North West Air Ambulance Charity was called to an incident in St Helens on the 8th December, H72 responded."
The Star has also contacted North West Ambulance about the incident but has not yet received a response.
