THE latest addition to St Helens town centre has had a busy first week after launching along Barrow Street.
Following a five-month refurbishment project that saw an office block transformed into a cosy new venue, Piano Cafe first opened its doors in St Helens on Monday, December 4.
With a background in hospitality, the cafe, located on the corner of Barrow Street and Claughton Street, is managed by husband and wife team Matt and Naj Golzari and owned by Naj's brother Saead.

Naming the cafe after a 'soothing sound", the aim is to create a welcoming new venue in the town centre, which offers indoor and outdoor seating.
Boasting a varied menu, Piano cafe offers traditional English breakfasts, sandwiches and paninis, waffles and desserts, and hot drinks and milkshakes.
Matt, who is Iranian and now based in St Helens, said: "We have experience in hospitality but is our first business in St Helens.
"It is a really nice area here and people have been very friendly. We have had some really good comments and good chats with our customers.
"It has taken some time to get ready for opening, which was quite stressful, but we are getting quite busy now.
"We want to offer something different and look after each customer the best we can."
With St Helens Council's regeneration plans set to take shape from next year, Matt also hopes that this can bring a boost in custom to the town and cafe.
Piano cafe is open seven days a week, from 8:30am until 3:30pm.
