A POWER cut has hit residents in an area of St Helens this morning, Thursday.
A loss of electricity has been reported by people in the area of Catchdale Moss Lane, in Eccleston.
Scottish Power said the incident was reported shortly before 9.30am today and that they will send an engineer to the site and were hoping to have power restored in the area by 12.30pm.
However, in an update, this was put back to 4pm.

In a statement, Scottish Power said: "There is a power cut affecting the WA10 postcode area of St. Helens.
"We had no advance warning of this and first became aware of it at 9.29am.
"Our next available engineer will attend site to find and fix the fault as quickly and as safely as possible.
"We expect your electricity supply to be restored by 12.30pm. If you require any further help or support, please call us on 105.
"We apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience."
In an update, Scottish Power stated that the expected restoration time is 4pm.
