A CYCLIST has been seriously injured after a collision also involving a car and a van.
Police are appealing for information following a report of the crash involving a cyclist and the vehicles today, Monday, December 4.
Just after 4.30pm emergency services were called to a report of a collision involving a silver Nissan Micra and a white Ford Transit van and a cyclist on Sherdley Road, near to Peterlee Close Sutton Heath.

The cyclist, a man in his 40s, has been taken to hospital where he is being treated for serious injuries, police say.
Both drivers have stopped at the scene and are assisting officers with their inquiries.
Road closures are in place in both directions of Sherdley Road, at the junction of Sherdley Bridge and Elephant Lane, while emergency services attend the incident. Police have asked that drivers avoid the area and find an alternative route and thank residents for their patience as they deal with the incident.
