THERE is a closure on the M58, near Rainford, due to a "police incident".
A lane on the M58 has been closed westbound from junction three (Rainford Road, Bickerstaffe) to junction one (Maghull Lane, Kirkby).
This is due to a "police incident", according to traffic feeds.

Live traffic tracker INRIX stated as of noon: "One lane closed due to police incident on M58 Westbound from J3 A570 Rainford Road (Bickerstaffe) to J1 Maghull Lane (Kirkby).
"Traffic is coping well."
