DID you know you can watch the Fiddler’s Ferry blowdown live from your own living room?
Four of the iconic cooling towers are being demolished on Sunday.
There are plenty of vantage points you can watch the moment from both in and around Warrington and St Helens.
But as the wintery weather has descended on us this week, you may wish to watch it from somewhere warm – like your own home.

Luckily, P.P. O’Connor and Peel NRE who are overseeing the demolition have provided a link where those interested can livestream the demolition,
On the day, you can watch it here: https://clients.skyrevolutions.co.uk/fiddlers-ferry-power-station/
There is no set time for the demolition.
The window is between 8am and 12pm so it could happen anytime during this period.
The decision will not be made ahead of time as it will be based on a number of factors including safety and weather.
The whole event will take just 10 seconds and will be just two bangs half a second apart.
The two explosions will only last one second.
