A CYCLIST in his 50s is in hospital after being found injured on the road.
Officers were called just before 6.30pm yesterday, Thursday, November 30 to the junction of Merton Bank Road and Hinckley Road to a report that a cyclist was injured on the road.
The cyclist, a man in his 50s, was treated by paramedics at the scene and has been taken to hospital for treatment.
A road closure is currently in place on Islands Brow following the incident.
