A COMMUNITY gym has committed to deliver presents to families this Christmastime and open on Christmas Day for those struggling or isolated.
Moving to Duncan Street from its former HAMMA premises on North Road, Evolution Fitness gym has been described as a "real community gym" that is an inclusive place for everyone.
Stepping up the charitable side of the business in recent years, the gym has been involved in numerous fundraisers and sponsors local rugby teams as well as St Helens 10k, the Pride of St Helens Awards, and the Steve Prescott and Standing Tall Foundations.
The gym has also partnered with special needs support group at Ever Evolving, where members come down for a training session at the gym, and able to use the facilities and equipment free of charge.

Hoping to further extend this side of the business, the Evolution team will be launching a festive project throughout most of December.
With a donation point inside the gym, the team are encouraging gym members, residents, and businesses to donate whatever they can to help struggling families as good a Christmas as possible.
Any sized gift or monetary donation is acceptable, and the gym also asking people to put forward people and families who they think are worthy of these gifts, from those known for their good deeds or families who may be struggling financially.
The team will then hand deliver the presents to people in the lead up to Christmas, and will also open the gym as a community hub on Christmas Day.
Bringing together those who may be struggling or isolated, the team will offer free drinks and festive snacks while also being there to support others.
Luke Swain, one of the staff members at Evolution, said: "Me and Mike have had times at Christmas on our own, and it's not nice.
"We've also been trying to push our community and charity side as much as possible so this is quite important to us.
"We just want to do whatever we can to help so we are here if you need us."
