A HAYDOCK based building firm is celebrating a double win for its outstanding projects at a prestigious awards ceremony.
Working on construction projects such as St Helens Central Station and countless sites across the country, Longworth Building Services has grown to become one of the UK's leading building envelope contractors.
After winning multiple awards for high quality design work, the business was again recognised at the 2023 Façade Awards, which took place on November 3 at Manchester’s Midland Hotel.

With the ceremony celebrating the achievements of façades contractors and manufacturers who demonstrate an outstanding level of technical ability, five of Longworth’s projects were shortlisted across four categories.
From this, the Moulding Foundation Building for the Seashell Trust took the ‘Best New Build Project’ prize, with the £2.9m package taking 11 months throughout last year.
The second award, for ‘Best Use Of A Brick Slip Cladding System,’ was for Longworth’s work at Manchester College using Wienerberger Corium Brick Slips.
This was part of a £4.2m project that involved design and construction of the roofing at Manchester College which took 14 months over 2021 and 2022.
Well known for its high-quality services, Longworth has also gained plaudits for its charitable projects and focus on the wellbeing of staff.
This has been shown by numerous fundraising events such as abseils, skydives, and Easter egg donations for local charities, while the firm also gave all 67 employees a one-off £1,000 payment last year to help with the cost of living crisis.
Proud of the award win, Longworth Managing Director Paul Smith said: “Team Longworth delivered for our clients, and delivers excellence every time."
