HERE is a selection of some of the best photographs from the weekend’s Christmas Lights Switch-on in St Helens.
Indie rockers the K’s were the headline act as crowds packed out Church Square for the annual festive event.
The highly rated Earlestown band - set to release their first album - played a selection of hits in front of hundreds who gathered to watch the event on what was a chilly but clear Saturday evening.
There was a huge number of young families in town, with many enjoying the fairground rides and festive activities that had run throughout the day.
Pride of St Helens Child of Courage winners Lucy Lowe and Lincoln Huyton were joined by the Mayor of St Helens, Cllr Lynn Clarke to switch on the lights in front of the biggest crowds a local Christmas lights switch on has seen in years.
Saints’ Australian second-row Curtis Sironen was also present for the occasion.
The Christmas lights display includes impressive new lights on the Church Square tree.
