A WOMAN in a wheelchair and a four-year-old child have suffered injuries after a crash with a car.
Two air ambulances were called to the car park of Mecca Bingo on Kirkland Street after a crash occurred at around 9.30am on Dentons Green Lane between a blue Nissan Micra and a a woman in a wheelchair.
One of the air ambulances took the woman in the wheelchair, who is in her 30s, to hospital with serious injuries, which are not life threatening.
A four-year-old child also sustained cuts and grazes in the collision.
The driver of the Nissan car stopped at the scene and is helping police with their enquiries.
A road closure is currently in place. Please avoid the area where possible.
Police are now appealing for any witnesses, CCTV and dash camera footage which may assist the investigation to come forward.
