When and why did you take up photography?
I have been interested in photography for about 15 years which coincided with my early retirement due to health problems. Initially, I had just owned a simple point and shoot camera but as my interest grew I bought a better DSLR camera. I loved to take photos of my many pets but as I improved, I broadened my horizons to just about everything.
At that time, my favourite things to shoot were birds of prey, wildlife, land and seascapes and churches.
What do you love about taking pictures?
Photography can be both solitary or shared with a group of people. Either way, I look upon it as me time and I love it. I have made so many friends through my hobby, especially on social media.

Where is your favourite place to take pictures and why?
Unfortunately, over the years my mobility has worsened and I am now unable to do the things that I used to do in order to get the perfect shot. I can no longer bend or lie down to take a photo so my photography is now limited.
What is your favourite subject matter and why?
Now I like to do a lot of table top still life work and my other passion is flowers. There are so many varied and beautiful varieties. My disability does not stop me pursuing and enjoying my hobby and I hope to continue for many more years to come.

If you could photograph anyone/any place/anything, who/what would it be?
My ambition is to one day photograph the Northern Lights, so fingers and toes crossed!
