A TOWN centre restaurant has diversified its business to focus on “takeaway delivery and collection'” instead of dine-in options
Tex Mex eatery Sabroso, which is based in the George Street quarter of St Helens town centre, opened in 2018 after originally running a successful takeaway in Thatto Heath.
However, after Covid led to businesses having to diversify, they are putting an emphasis on their takeaway options.
Paul Bridge, owner of Sabroso, said: “We are currently focusing on our takeaway, delivery and collection side of our business which we have put 100 per cent of our effort into making the best it can possibly be, rather than any dine in options.
“With two new full time staff members local to St Helens as well as current advertisements for even more delivery drivers, we have been lucky to be able to offer a service that stretches around the borough and reduce wait times during peak business days/hours.
“ [That’s] Something that was not possible if we were to offer dine in at this time.”
Paul says the family run business is aiming to deliver “the most exciting, fresh and innovative takeaway dishes, cocktails, desserts and more”.
He added: “Our corndogs and ‘tater tots are some of the newest additions to our menu that customers can’t seem to get enough of.
“Whilst still offering some of the same amazing family recipes that we started our Tex-Mex Takeaway with nine years ago, for example our signature house chilli, veggie three bean chilli, chicken Tinga and BBQ pulled pork have always remained the same great quality and recipe.”
Paul sent a message of thanks to their loyal customer base, adding: “We truly have our amazing customers, regular and new, to thank for our takeaway business being popular and busy.
“We’re excited to see what viral dishes, treats and tasty things we can add to our vast takeaway menu in the upcoming year as well as a busy festive period.”
Sabroso is open seven days a week from 4.30pm to 10pm.
