PLANS to display six new advertisement signs at a public house in Rainhill have been approved.

An application for consent to display the signage at the Black Horse, on Rainhill Road, has been given the green light.

The officer report says all of the proposed signage above is replacing existing signage at the site and is of a similar scale, with the signage proposed to update the branding of the business.

It adds: “The signage when considering its location, siting, illumination, design, and scale will not compromise the safety of pedestrians, drivers, or other users of the public highway.

“In terms of amenity, the signage would respect the host building and surrounding area in terms of scale, design and appearance.

“The property already features signage in exactly the same location as existing, the new signage will only update the branding of the business, therefore it is considered the proposed development would not significantly harm the surrounding local area.”
