POLICE are making enquires following reports that a business owner was verbally abused and spat at in Rainford.
At around 5.15pm on Thursday, October 19, police reported that a group of youths had "attempted to damage property" along Church Road in Rainford.
Officers also report that the group became "threatening" and "verbally abused" a business owner.
It has also been reported that one youth spat at the business owner.

Police have been making enquiries about the village incident, and are "particularly keen" to speak with a "long curly haired boy aged around 16 years old who [was] in possession of a glass hammer".
A Merseyside Police spokesperson said: "It was reported at around 5.15pm yesterday, Thursday 19 October, that a group of youths had verbally abused a business owner on Church Road and that one of the youths had spat at him.
