A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of driving while unfit following a three-car crash in Newton-le-Willows.
The crash, which involved a Ford Fiesta, a Peugeot 108 and a Renault took place on Victoria Road yesterday (Wednesday, October 11) evening.
A police spokesperson confirmed a 43-year-old man from Newton-le-Willows was arrested on suspicion of driving while unfit through drink/drugs, driving with a proportion of a controlled drug about the specified limit and licence and insurance offences.

He has been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
Road closures were in place following the incident. Police added that it appeared to be a "damage only" crash involving a Ford Fiesta, a Peugeot 108 and a Renault.
