POLICE say there has been a spike in reported incidents of bogus traders targeting addresses.
Officers in St Helens have said that the fraudsters have been operating in the Sutton area.
They warned residents in the area to be vigilant.

In a statement on Monday, police said: "We have had a recent spike in distraction burglaries in the Sutton area, bogus traders offering work then talking their way into addresses.
"Please be vigilant and keep your doors/windows locked."
