Tell me a bit about your salon/business
We provide a large variety of different services – this includes extensions, keratin blow dries, colour corrections and other aspects of hairdressing. We also rent beauty rooms upstairs to individual beauticians.
Why did you decide to open your own salon?
I started by working mobile and then saw a shop for rent and said to myself “let’s do it!”.
What’s your hair and beauty background?
I started my hairdressing journey as a Saturday girl in my local area. I studied and completed all of my qualifications at St Helens College. I took part in many competitions specialising in short hair and unique colours, mainly based in Liverpool. I also worked for Neil Alexandra in Earlestown.
Why this type of business?
I love it! I eat, sleep and breath it – it’s my passion. I love working with the public and being able to make people happy. I love working with Wargrave House and being to share my passion with people with additional needs.
Were you open before/during/after the Covid-19 pandemic? How did this affect your business?
It was a hard time and affected us mentally. It was a hard time for the business as we had to close the shop for long periods.

What makes your business different to others in the same area/field? What sets your business apart from your competitors?
We are a very friendly bunch of women and always make sure our clients feel welcomed. We have five-star reviews about our work and the salon. We have very highly trained staff and have competitive prices. We also have an outside seating area where clients can sit and relax while being pampered.
Why do loyal clients return to your business?
We are modern and ensure we keep with the new trends. We try and interest new clients to try us out. Our work within the salon is constantly shared across numerous social media platforms and this makes me love my job even more – the fact that our clients always show appreciation for the work we do.
What’s next? What do the next few months hold for you and your salon?
Growing the salon! I want to continue to grow my business and keep improving.
