MOTORISTS are being warned there will be disruption due to roadworks at a traffic signal junction beside a bridge.
St Helens Borough Council has notified residents about the works near the bridge on Woodlands Road that is between Finchley Drive and Laburnham Avenue, Laffak.
The plans are to upgrade the traffic lights with the latest signal and detection equipment while also carrying out road resurfacing.
Works are due to begin on Monday, October 9 and will last for three weeks.
In a letter to residents, the council explained that a section of Woodlands Road will be shut both ways and a diversion route will be in place.
The letter states: "The road should be kept clear of parked vehicles during working hours.
"I understand this may be convenient but the works are essential and the team on site will do their best to minimise disruption."
