WITH Hallowe'en creeping up on us, Church Square Shopping Centre is gearing up for the spooky season with its own spooky school, Monster Academy.
On Saturday, October 28, between 10am and 4pm, Church Square Shopping Centre will be pulling out all the stops for the spooky season, with interactive trails and spooky activities.
Using augmented reality technology, Church Square will place QR codes around the centre for shoppers to scan with their phones, making their surroundings come alive with interactive Halloween creatures.
Scan the first code to start the story, following the QR code Hallowe'en cutouts throughout the centre to see where the trail leads and the story ends.
Children are invited to join the Monster Academy hosted by theatrical monster characters in St Mary’s Arcade.
Children will be able to craft their very own monster finger puppets and undergo a spine-tingling transformation with complimentary face painting.
These activities will be available from 10am to 4pm and are open to all, completely free of charge.
Church Square’s mascot, Spike, will be making appearances throughout the day, handing out goodies, stickers, and certificates to members of the kids’ club.
