A CHANCE conversation at a business networking event has led to an exciting new website for the British Chambers of Commerce.

The fresh online look, which launched this week, has been developed by St Helens firm Sood, a marketing web agency based in Ena Works, who are members of the St Helens Chamber.

After meeting with the BCC’s Director General at an event in Merseyside, the company successfully pitched for the major project, as part of a competitive process.

The BCC website is a vital tool to showcase the breadth and depth of the 53 accredited chambers across the UK.

It also links people to the work of over 75 international member chambers. Paalan Sood, Founder and CEO of Sood Marketing said: “Running a business is all about networking and seizing the opportunities. Being members of our local Chamber of Commerce helps us do that. “As Chamber members, we’ve nurtured talent through apprenticeships and Kickstart Schemes. It’s rewarding to see the results of this training contribute to such an important Chamber project.

"For a smaller team like us to work on something of this magnitude has been a privilege. Our success demonstrates that we’re more than ready to work on bigger projects in the future.”

Bryony Graham, Head of Marketing and Membership Communications at the British Chambers of Commerce said: “This has been a key project for the British Chambers of Commerce team since the start of the year.

"We’re thrilled to have worked with Paalan and his dedicated colleagues. “Our website is a crucial tool to tell people about the BCC and our unique Chamber Network, both here in the UK, and around the world.

“It’s our new shop window and tells the story of who we are, and what we do”.

Tracy Mawson, Chief Executive of St Helens Chamber said: “This really does show the power of networking and the talent of local Chamber members here in St Helens.

“Our Chamber has a long history of helping the business community create prosperity and opportunity, in and around the town.

“The dynamic and young team at Sood are certainly putting St Helens on the map.”
