A MAN has been charged in connection with a reported stabbing in St Helens.
As reported by the Star, a man was reported to have been stabbed on Cooper Steet at around 4pm on Tuesday, September 12.
The man was rushed to hospital with "severe injuries" that are not believed to be life-threatening.
Police say he is now in a "serious but stable condition".

A cordon was in place on Cooper Street on Tuesday afternoon while police and forensics teams dealt with the incident.
It is understood that the incident took place on the street and the Turks Head and Cowley Vaults pubs were not involved in the situation.
Police arrested a man on Wednesday in connection with the incident.
Officers have now confirmed that Reece Lowndes, of Chiltern Road, Parr, has been charged with wounding with intent and possession of a knife/bladed article in a public place.
Lowndes, 22, is due to appear at Wirral Magistrates' Court today, Thursday.
In a statement, Merseyside Police said: "We can confirm a man has been charged after a reported stabbing in St Helens on Tuesday, September 12.
"At around 4pm, it was reported that a man aged in his 20s had been stabbed on Cooper Street.
"The victim was taken to hospital, where he remains in a serious but stable condition.
"Reece Lowndes, 22, of Chiltern Road, St Helens, has now been charged with section 18 wounding with intent and possession of a knife/bladed article in a public place.
"He has been remanded in custody to appear at Wirral Adult Remand Court today, Thursday, September 14."
