A POPULAR music festival that will host up to 20,000 people will return to its Sherdley Park home this weekend.
Starting as a small nostalgic music festival in 2014, Reminisce has become immensely popular over the past decade, with tens of thousands of music lovers descending on St Helens for a collection of nostalgia, old-school dance tunes, and nineties pop.
Reminisce hasn't been without its controversies, with frequent noise complaints from neighbours and long queues and security concerns in 2021, but the "almost sold out" festival is back in Sherdley Park on Saturday, September 9.

This year's lineup sees acts like John Martin from the Swedish House Mafia, Heather Small, Blazin Squad, Boyzlife, and the Vengaboys gracing the St Helens stages.
With more than 150 international DJs and artists across seven arenas, there are countless more acts ready to entertain festival goers with a range of house anthems and club classics.
Following concerns about previous festivals, Reminisce organisers issued a letter to Sutton residents last month, to make them aware of the festival and the procedures that will be in place.
The letter states: “We appreciate that local residents have concerns about the event and we have worked with the council, police and responsible authorities to ensure that all aspects of health and public safety have been addressed, as well as taking measures to limit disruption to residents and normal park-goers as much as possible.
“The extra contingencies put in place in 2022 to alleviate some of the issues that had arisen in 2021 have been maintained and in some cases improved.
“These include expanded car parking, additional security staffing outside the event compound and surrounding residential roads, increased waste management/litter picking resources and expanding the entrance operation to ensure attendees are admitted to the event space at an increased pace.”
Deconstruction of the event is set to be completed by September 15.
