A MAN has been charged with assault after an early morning incident in Garswood.
Residents reported hearing a disturbance on Thornhill Road at around 5am on Sunday, September 3.
After arriving at the scene, police officers arrested a man and took him into custody.
Officers have now confirmed that Alan Woodcock, 34, of no fixed abode, has been charged with four counts of assault in relation to the incident.

A Merseyside Police spokesperson said: "We were called at 4.50am yesterday (Sunday, September 3) to reports of a domestic disturbance at a property in Thornhill Road.
"Alan Woodcock, 34, of no fixed abode has been charged with 4 x assault by beating.
"He was remanded into custody to appear in court today, Monday, September 4."
