A FIFTEEN-YEAR-OLD boy was arrested by police after officers spotted a teenager riding a bike carrying an imitation gun.
Residents reported seeing a police presence in the area of Dentons Green Lane, near to Duke Street in St Helens on Friday afternoon, September 1.
When asked about this, Merseyside Police said it related to an imitation firearm being found on nearby Rivington Road.
Police say that officers spotted a teenage boy riding a bike carrying a fake gun.
Officers cautioned and arrested a 15-year-old suspect, who police said is due to voluntarily attend a police station over the matter this week.

A Merseyside Police spokeswoman said: "We can confirm that officers are investigating after an imitation firearm was found on Rivington Road in St Helens on Friday, September 1.
"At around 3pm officers spotted a teenage boy riding a bike in the area who was carrying an imitation firearm.
"Officers cautioned and arrested a 15-year-old boy who will voluntarily attend at a police station in Merseyside this week."
