A DOG has been put down after it attacked a woman at an address causing "serious injuries".
Police received a report that a woman had been bitten by a dog on Frodsham Drive, Blackbrook, last Friday afternoon, August 25.
A woman was taken to hospital with serious injuries to her arm and body.
She is now recovering at home, police say.
Meanwhile, the dog, believed to be an XL bully, was later destroyed, police have confirmed.

A Merseyside Police spokeswoman said: "Detectives have carried out enquiries following a report of a dog attack at an address in St Helens on, Friday, August 25.
"At around 5.15pm we received a report that a woman had been bitten by a dog on Frodsham Drive.
"The woman was taken to hospital with serious injuries to her arm and body. She is now recovering at home from her injuries.
"Officers seized the dog, which was believed to be an XL Bully and was later destroyed.
"Inquiries were carried out with residents in the area."
