MOTORISTS have been warned of an upcoming road closure this weekend for works as part of the Parkside Link Road project.
Drivers are advised that A49 Winwick Road, between Cholmley Drive and Whitefield Avenue, Newton-le-Willows, will be closed from 5am Saturday, August 19, until 7pm Sunday, August 20.

St Helens Council says the closure is necessary to allow the safe installation of traffic signalised junction, drainage and ducting crossings over the A49 Winwick Road as part of the Parkside Link Road project.
A signed diversion will be in place, with businesses in the area open as usual.
