A DRIVER has been caught by police almost four times over the limit.
North West Motorway Police say a motorist had got behind the wheel after drinking a bottle of wine.
The driver had lost control and crashed into barriers along the M62 between Junction 7 (Rainhill Stoops) and J8 (Burtonwood) last week.
He blew 137 micrograms of alcohol per 100ml of breath on the roadside.
An arrest was made by police and following a charge being brought by officers a defendant will be due to appear in court.
