A FEMALE pedestrian was taken to hospital after being hit by a car.
Emergency services attended a collision at Penny Lane, Haydock, this afternoon, Tuesday, August 1.
A pedestrian was taken to hospital with "suspected concussion", police said.

A Merseyside Police spokesman said: "We were called to Penny Lane in St Helens just after 4.45pm to a report of a collision involving a blue Hyundai car and a female pedestrian.
"The pedestrian has been taken for treatment at hospital for suspected concussion.
"Inquiries at the scene are ongoing and any witnesses are asked to DM @MerPolCC or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
