A JAM-PACKED event is set to delight residents and families this weekend as it returns for its eleventh year.
Ran by volunteers and entirely self-funded, the Newton Town Show is organised by the Newton and Earlestown Community Group, which wanted to bring a family fun day back to the town ten years ago.
Making its comeback in 2013, the town show has been a huge hit over the years as its numerous attractions have brought in attendees in their thousands.

Coming as part of St Helens' Borough of Culture celebrations this year, the free event is planned to provide attractions for people of all ages.
This will include stunt shows and zip wires, artillery firing displays and WW2 aircraft flyovers, children's entertainers and fairground attractions, classic car competitions, and live performances from concert bands and dance groups.
There will also be a collection of food and drink stalls as well as further arts, crafts, and creative workshops.
Councillor Seve Gomez Aspron MBE, chair of the town show organising committee, said: “We’ve got a fun packed day once again in Mesnes Park and the committee have worked hard to put this together.
"We also would like to thank all those businesses who have sponsored the event to make it happen!"
Taking place at Mesnes Park on Saturday, August 5, a free bus service will run through Newton on the day of the show, which is also in close proximity to Newton-le-Willows train station.
Disabled-friendly parking is also available from Cardinal Way on the top field and playground, with the aircraft flyover set to take place around 2pm.
