A SPORTS-MAD seven-year-old will soon have the opportunity of a lifetime and represent his country in a World Championship.
An enthusiastic footballer, Adam Boudhina really got into karate and kickboxing after watching 'Ninja Kids' shows during lockdown.
Encouraged by his dad who also used to kickbox, seven-year-old Adam has spent the last two years learning his skills at the Hughes Sport Karate Academy, on Duke Street in St Helens.

Quickly stepping up from 'novice' to 'advanced' in his regional and national tournaments, the Bleak Hill pupil has already won three gold, three silver, and two bronze medals in just over a year of competing.
In one of these tournaments, Adam was observed by England karate coaches and after his silver medal performance, he was invited to train with the national youth set-up in Birmingham and represent Great Britain at the WKU World Championships in Canada this October.
However, as Adam's proud family was not expecting an international trip to be thrown at them, they have started fundraising to ensure that they can afford the trip for him to travel and compete.
Speaking about his achievements, Adam's mum Stephanie said: "Adam's made up with himself, because he knows how hard he has worked for this. He trains pretty much every day of the week and gives up football training when he has tournaments to train for.
"He's your typical young kid, but he loves his sport and is so competitive. He just wants to win everything.
"We're so delighted for him but wasn't expecting such an expensive trip so we thought we'd do something to try and help [the situation]."
