STAR readers have shared their sadness and paid tributes to "such a lovely man" after the death of 77-year-old Leslie Fielding.

Police confirmed the body of Leslie, who was from Haydock, had been found last Thursday, June 22, five days after he had gone missing.

Leslie, from Haydock, had last been seen driving towards the East Lancashire Road in a Toyota at around 7pm.

Merseyside Police confirmed that Leslie had sadly been found dead in Greater Manchester last Thursday morning.

A spokeswoman added there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.

Mr Fielding's family were informed and police said they are providing them with support.

A file has been prepared for the coroner.
