A POPULAR festival is returning to Haydock Park Racecourse next week.

Old Newton Cup Festival, the park's famous event, will return on Thursday, July 6. 

The three-day event will be an opportunity to watch the races as well as enjoy a social day out.

Each day will offer something different, with those looking for a quieter, slower-paced day encouraged to attend on the festival's opening day on Thursday.
