A MAN who kept more than £5,000 that was wrongfully sent to him has been given a fine by a court.
Ryan Charles Walker, of Burnage Avenue, Clock Face, appeared before Liverpool, Knowsley and St Helens Magistrates’ Court on June 9.
Walker, 29, pleaded guilty to six counts of retaining wrongful credit, contrary to the Theft Act, between 2019 and 2021, to the value of more than £5,000 in total.
He admitted to knowing or believing a wrongful credit of f £1,525.44 had been made on August 6, 2019, to an account and failed to take such steps that it was cancelled.

He also pleaded guilty to a count in relation to a £1,525 credit on September 9, 2019.
He also pleaded guilty over a credit of £1,144.08 on March 2, 2020
Walker also admitted guilt in relation to two credits of £500 on March 25, 2021 and another of £300 on the same date.
The 29-year-old was fined £405, made to pay costs to the Crown Prosecution Service of £400 and a victim surcharge of £41, making a total of £846 to be paid.
