A THIRTY-ONE-YEAR-OLD man who was convicted of assaulting a female has been fined.
Blaine Megarry, of Ropers Bridge Close, Whiston, assaulted his victim at an address in St Helens on January 1, this year.
Megarry was sentenced at Liverpool, Knowsley and St Helens Magistrates’ Court on June 6.

The 31-year-old was given a community order after being convicted of assault by beating.
The defendant must comply with participate in an accredited programme for 19 days and do up to 25 days of rehabilitation activity
He was also fined £100, made to pay compensation of £250 and costs of £120 to the Crown Prosecution Service, making a total of £470.
Megarry was given no separate penalty for a conviction of using threatening behaviour.
The defendant's guilty plea was taken into account when the sentence was imposed.
