A WOMAN has been charged after a man was allegedly injured while walking his dog by another canine.
It is alleged that a black 'staff-type' dog ran over and bit a man and his dog, as they were walking along Chapel Street, close to the town centre, at around 5pm on Monday, September 26, 2022.
The man suffered a bite to a finger and his dog had a wound on his back and was taken to the vets for treatment.
Police confirmed that a woman has since been charged in connection with the incident.

Barbara Woods, of McCormack Avenue, Parr, has been charged with being owner/person in charge of a dog dangerously out of control causing injury.
Woods, 35, is due to appear at Liverpool, Knowsley and St Helens Magistrates' Court today, Tuesday, in relation to the charge.
A court sheet says she is alleged to have been in charge of a Staffordshire Bull Terrier and Husky cross, which was dangerously out of control on Chapel Street and injured a man.
