A MAN's business and livelihood have been affected after his recovery truck was allegedly stolen in Newton-le-Willows.

At around 11pm on Sunday, June 18, it has been reported that a White Citroen Relay recovery truck was stolen on Birley Street, Newton-le-Willows.

The truck, which is necessary for the driver's job transporting vehicles from dealerships and individuals, also had a customer's blue Honda Civic towed to the back of it.

Jacob, a dad-of-one, said: "There was a lot of shouting on Sunday night, and after my son woke up, my wife realised that my truck had gone.

"The truck is my sole income that I use to transport cars up and down the country, so we're desperately trying to locate it.

"It also had a customer's car towed to the back of it so this has affected them too. I can claim on the insurance but it will still put me back thousands of pounds."
