POLICE have issued an appeal after a "disgraceful" robbery in which a 20-year-old man was attacked by a group of 10.
Officers launched an investigation following the incident on Sunday, June 18.
At around 4.45pm it was reported that a man was approached by a group of "10 young males" in an underpass near the East Lancashire Road.

The victim was assaulted and had his electric bike stolen by the group, who fled the area on foot towards Clinkham Wood.
The victim suffered facial injuries.
The victim's mum told the Star of her shock after the brutal assault.
Police say inquiries remain ongoing into the incident and they are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
'A disgraceful incident'
St Helens Community Inspector Stacey Pope said: “This was a disgraceful incident and we are working to find the persons responsible and remove them from our streets.
“We are in the early stages of investigating this incident and would appeal for anyone with information to get in touch.
“If you live in the area and have CCTV cameras, please check to see if you captured anything at around the time of this incident.”
