A WOMAN has been charged with possession of a bladed article after police were called to an alleged disturbance in Whiston.
Officers attended on Sunday morning, June 11, and arrested a 39-year-old woman from Whiston in connection with the incident.
Police say the suspect has since been charged with possession of a bladed article; using threatening words or behaviour intending to cause harassment, alarm or distress; and attempted criminal damage.

The woman has been remanded into police custody.
She is due to appear at Liverpool, Knowsley and St Helens Magistrates' Court this morning, Monday.
