A POPULAR Indian restaurant and takeaway has been hit with a low food hygiene score following a recent inspection.
From a score of zero to five, food hygiene ratings are given to food handling businesses after an inspection has assessed how well they comply with food safety laws.
The rating reflects the standards of food hygiene found on the date of the inspection by the local authority.

Inspected on April 13, the Blue Mango Restaurant in Rainhill was given a one-out-of-five food hygiene score.
It is a blow for the popular Indian restaurant, which is rated as the second-best restaurant in Rainhill on Trip Advisor.
Major improvements were reported to be necessary for the Dane Court business' management of food safety.
Improvements were also reported to be necessary for the business' hygienic food handling as well as for the cleanliness and condition of the facilities and building.
