A MAN has been charged with possession an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence in connection with an incident which saw armed police called out.
A large police presence was called to Hard Lane, Dentons Green, on the afternoon of Saturday, June 18, last year.
Armed police attendance and nearby residents were asked to stay in their homes.
The nearby Abbey pub was locked down for a while as police attended the incident.
At around 2pm, officers had been called to a report that a man had been threatened with an air rifle on Hard Lane.
A suspect was arrested in connection with the incident.
No one was injured during the incident.

Robert Paul Scully, of Hard Lane, Dentons Green, has since been charged with possession of a weapon for the discharge of a noxious liquid/gas/electrical incapacitation device/thing, and possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.
Scully, 44, appeared at Liverpool, Knowsley and St Helens Magistrates’ Court.
He is due to appear next at Liverpool Crown Court on Wednesday, June 14.
