A DRINK driver who had cocaine in his possession is to be sentenced later this month.
Gordon McKinlay, 34, appeared before Liverpool, Knowsley and St Helens Magistrates' Court on April 28.
The 34-year-old pleaded guilty to driving a Vauxhall Corsa on Stanley Bank Way, Haydock, while in excess of the alcohol limit.
He had 79 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath, more than twice the legally permitted 35.
McKinlay also pleaded guilty to possession of a quantity of cocaine and to driving without insurance.
He committed the offences on March 28, this year.

The case was adjourned for a pre-sentence report to be prepared.
The defendant is due to appear back at the magistrates' court for sentencing on the afternoon of Wednesday, May 31.
McKinlay, of Woodland View, Abercarn, Caerphilly, Wales, was given an interim driving disqualification until then.
