A BACON sandwich with red sauce or brown sauce?
How about a full English with thick cut toasted bread with butter?
Or maybe you’d choose crushed avocado on sourdough sprinkled with chilli flakes and topped with a poached egg?
The choice of what to have for breakfast is endless and everyone has their favourite go-to items that they eat before heading off to school or work.
But we want to know where in St Helens serves the best food to start the day.
If you’re treating yourself to breakfast, where do you go?
So far in our Best of 2023 competition, we’ve searched for St Helen’s Best for Hair and Best for Pies, and then Best for Nails and Best for Roast Dinner, with the shortlist for the town’s Best for Cocktails revealed yesterday, Thursday.
Our next category will focus on breakfast – the most important meal of the day.
We know there are lots of great places serving breakfast in St Helens so, let us know who deserves to be featured in our final shortlist and why.
It’s no easy feat to choose a winner, which is why we’ll be handing over the final decision to those who know best – our readers.
HOW IT WORKS:
Each Friday morning we will reveal new categories via our social media pages and ask you who is the best. Nominations will then close each Monday morning at 12pm.
Every Thursday we will publish a shortlist of finalists with voting officially opening.
You will be able to vote in one of three ways:
- By commenting under the relevant post on our St Helens Star Facebook, Twitter or Instagram pages = 1 vote
- By entering via the online article on our St Helens Star website = 2 votes
- By entering via our St Helens Star newspaper = 5 votes
The following Wednesday evening we will announce the winner of that category on social media.
Usual Newsquest competition rules apply.
