BUSINESSES across St Helens can now be nominated for the annual awards celebrating achievements in our town.
The St Helens Chamber Business Awards, in collaboration with St Helens Council, celebrates the best of the region and highlights the achievements of businesses.
The glamorous ceremony will take place at Totally Wicked Stadium on October 20.
Rachel Wellens, Events, Education and Partnership Manager at St Helens Chamber, said: “We’re proud to host the annual business awards here in St Helens, and it’s always a pleasure to see how much has been achieved year on year.
“I’d like to encourage all businesses to get involved and submit an application, and we’ve introduced some new categories to showcase more of the amazing work going on in the Region.”
The categories for the 2023 St Helens Borough Business Awards are:
• Apprentice of the Year
• Scale up Business of the Year
• Smaller Business of the Year
• Social Impact Business of the Year
• Progression to NetZero Business of the Year
• Employer of the year
• Innovation Business of the Year
• St Helens Business of the Year
• Social Business of the Year
• Borough of Culture Community Champion
David Marnell, Head of Business Services at St Helens Chamber, added: “This event is a great opportunity for us all to come together and celebrate each other’s achievements.
“The last few years have been challenging for businesses, but as a Chamber we’ve seen many of our Members going from strength to strength.
"As a region we’ve risen to the challenges and I’m so pleased that the Chamber can help to highlight the amazing work that’s taking place.”
Local businesses can also get involved by sponsoring an award category.
Rachel explained: “We’re now looking for category sponsors, who will get extensive social media coverage before and during the event – alongside the opportunity to present the award to the winner on the night.
“Sponsoring a category is a great way to get involved and support local businesses too.”
