THE East Lancashire Road was partially blocked following an accident this morning (Wednesday).
There was slow traffic from Pewfall traffic lights to Carr Mill following the crash.

The accident scene has since been cleared.
As of 10am, live traffic tracker INRIX stated: "A580 East Lancashire Road Westbound partially blocked, slow traffic due to accident from A58 Liverpool Road (Pewfall Traffic Lights, Haydock) to A571 Carr Mill Road (Carr Mill, St Helens)."
