A MUCH-LOVED beer festival is returning to Newton-le-Willows next month.
Newton Beer Fest will return this June and is expected to be ‘bigger and better’ than previous years.
Last year’s event was the festival’s comeback following a two-year hiatus due to Covid-19.
The event, organised by Newton-le-Willows Rotary Club, will raise funding for local charities.
Karrina Morse, Beer Festival committee member, said: "We are thrilled to be back to it with our annual charity beer festival this summer.
"Last year was our first return after lockdown and Newton did not disappoint.
"We had a great turnout and sincerely appreciate the support from our local community, whether that was by attending, sponsoring, or volunteering at the event, thank you and we cannot wait to see lots of familiar faces once again at this year’s.
"This year we have even more to choose from, a fantastic choice of cask beers, a bigger cider selection, the introduction of keg beers, and our new family-friendly day which will be on Sunday, along with our much-loved live music nights Friday and Saturday.
"If we didn't have such amazing support from our local communities, we couldn't put this event on and the funds it raises go straight back into the community and those in need, so thank you and hope to see you there."
The Newton Beer Fest will take place at the Earlestown Viaduct Sports and Social Club and will run from Friday, June 9, until Sunday, June 11.
