A WOMAN has been charged in connection with a stabbing in Newton-le-Willows.
The Star reported on Friday, April 14, after a woman was arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent following an alleged incident in the early hours.
It was reported that a man in his 30s has been stabbed on Southworth Road.

He was taken to hospital and was treated for his injuries which police said were not life-threatening.
Police cordons were in place outside a property on Southworth Road and the nearby Esso petrol station on Mill Lane, on Friday.
Forensic officers were also in attendance.
Police have confirmed that Amanda Valerie Wilkie, of Southworth Road, Newton-le-Willows has been charged with wounding with intent in connection with the incident.
Wilkie, 43, has been remanded into custody and will appear at Liverpool, Knowsley and St Helens Magistrates' Court today, Monday 17 April.
