A SUSPECTED drug dealer was arrested after a garden wall was damaged following a collision between a police vehicle and an electric bike.
Officers in an unmarked car spotted a suspect wearing a balaclava on an e-bike on Wargrave Road in Newton-le-Willows on Wednesday morning, April 12.
Police said that he made off after being asked to stop. The police car and bike were in collision shortly afterwards on Rydal Street.
A garden wall was damaged during the incident.
An 18-year-old man was detained and arrested on suspicion of possession of heroin and crack cocaine with intent to supply.

A Merseyside Police spokeswoman said: "Police officers were on patrol in an unmarked car in the Newton-le-Willows area at around 10.40am on Wednesday, April 12 when they sighted a male on an electric pedal bike wearing a balaclava on Wargrave Road.
"They asked the male to stop and he made off. A short time later the police vehicle and the bike were in collision on Rydal Street. A garden wall was also damaged.
"An 18-year-old male was detained a short distance away and arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs (heroin and crack cocaine).
"He has been released on bail pending further inquiries."
