BUSINESSES in Newton-le-Willows have come together to create hampers ahead of their Easter event.
Members of the High Street Hive, a committee of businesses on Newton High Street, chipped in to make hampers for its Easter Egg Trail.
The event, organised by businesses on the high street, is returning this Easter following a successful debut last year.
A variety of items are nestled in the hampers, including chocolate, wine, and gift vouchers.
Jack Lynch, founder of Cavehill Consulting and member of the Hive, said: "There’s over £1,000 worth of stuff which is great for local businesses, and through the Hive, we help local causes as well.
"We’re trying to help locally and give back any way we can."
Ahead of the event, Katie Chedotal, owner of Found on a Curb, added: "With this being the first Hive event of the year, everyone’s coming out of their shells now and the buzz is coming.
"Businesses are really getting involved; the spirit feels really good on the high street, like something you’ve never witnessed before. You don’t get this on many high streets."
The Easter Egg Trail is returning to Newton High Street from 10am tomorrow, April 7, until 4pm on Saturday, April 8.
