AFTER taking on a new venture, people have queued along the streets for a young ice cream man while thousands more have reacted to his videos online.

As previously reported in the Star, Jordan Edwards took on a unique new venture in February and became a one-man ice cream man that covers the communities of Moss Bank, Billinge, and Garswood.

After previously working as a football coach in America, Jordan hadn't found the right fit in work once he returned home, so decided to become his own boss in a role that spreads happiness to the community and revives one of his childhood joys.

Launching JJ's Ices' in late February, Jordan has been growing the reputation of his new business in time for Spring and Summer, and said he has been blown away by the feedback he has received so far.

Jordan, from Haydock, said: "The feedback I have had so far has been great.

"I've had messages from people living on streets I didn't even know existed, and others following me around and almost blocking the van just so they can try an ice cream!

"The menu has been really popular and I think because I put extra sauce and toppings on, that really attracts people."

As well as letting his van jingle throughout the community, Jordan is a tech-savvy ice cream man who has been building a growing following online.

Filming short videos of his mouth-watering products on TikTok, JJ's Ices has amassed tens of thousands of views on the social media platform - reaching a whole new demographic who can come and try his menu.

Jordan, 26, added: "It's crazy how everything has happened so far and it's absolutely mental how many views I've had on TikTok after just a few videos.

"My stress levels are so down at the moment and I'm just so happy to go to work - I wish I would have done this earlier!"

After gaining more of a reputation in St Helens, Jordan will soon revamp his ice cream van to try and further boost the look of his business.

With warmer days and longer nights ahead of us, the 26-year-old said he is looking for a long and busy summer in his successful new venture.
